Open for submissions via the Portal, regular and COVID-19 projects. We’ve already authorized 31 Visits for this year.

Same rules as last year: must be an IRAP company referred by their ITA. Max of 20 hours. Everything done through the online portal.

Notes re COVID-19:

Most of the clients to date you’ve worked with on COVID-19 have been hospitals, public health authorities, etc;  IRAP isn’t able to fund hospitals, public health authorities, etc., and this can’t be changed since it is set in legislation governing IRAP’s program parameters.

If you have a client and they don’t have an ITA, but may be a good fit for the program, let us know. We can connect you with IRAP LCient Engagement Advisors.

Maximum of two Visits per company up to 40 hours.

Some of the funding areas, eg. capital purchases, promotion, etc., couldn’t be covered due to IRAP program restrictions.

Follow-on projects could be possible where IRAP would fund the company directly.  TACs are eligible to act as contractors to the firms, which would be reimbursed at 50% of the fees the TACs charge (you’d be reimbursed 100% from the firm – 50% from firm cash, 50% from IRAP through the firm).

These demand-driven centres, from BC to PEI, help Canadian businesses – especially Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) – get their products, processes and services market-ready by conducting applied research and development projects focused on company problems…. Read more
